MAY 29, 2020. Spend An Evening under the influence of Impressionist artist Claude Monet (1840-1926) at the C. William Gilchrist Museum of the Arts, 104 Washington Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
Join us for some relaxing fun and learn more about the amazing French painter Oscar-Claude Monet, who was the founder of the Impressionist movement, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein air landscape painting.
Film segments highlighting this romantic painter and his beautiful gardens will be shown followed by a hands-on painting workshop led by Beth Hilliker.
Complimentary refreshments will be served and random door prizes will be awarded. Join us for the fun! $48 includes all activities, art supplies, savory and sweet refreshments, and drinks. (Alcohol only served to those over the age of 21. Non-alcoholic drinks are also served.)
