QiGong Longevity workshop w Cheng Xin - SEPT 11-12-13, 2020
QiGong Longevity Workshop – SEPTEMBER 11-12-13, 2020
Join us, along with QiGong instructor Cheng Xin, for a weekend immersion experience exploring the practice of returning oneself to harmony. Wu Dang Chun Yang Yang Sheng Gong Longevity is a primary and formative aspect of all qigong arts which works on the levels of mind, body, and spirit through the unification of heaven, human, and earth. This ancient practice improves and restores general health and well-being, expels disease and dis-ease, purifies the meridians; cultivating a balanced mind and peaceful heart, and allowing oneself to connect more deeply to a higher purpose in life.
The realm of Longevity embodies all aspects of the human condition and is governed by the subtle laws of nature and the universe. In Daoist medicine, the theory of longevity is referred to as, "The Dao of Longevity." The method and application of that theory is called, "The Art of Longevity." One cannot exist without the other.
At the end of this seminar, students will have a traditional foundation in the theory of the ” Dao of Longevity," which is comprised of four main sections: Heaven, Human, Earth, and Harmony. This will include but not be limited to the concepts of Dao, the theory of Yin and Yang and the Ten Thousand things; as well as the Three Great Treasures and how this is applied to the physical practice.
Students will also receive full transmission of all three sections of the Wu Dang Chun Yang Yang Sheng Gong Longevity series: Heaven, Human, and Earth. Each section is made up of nine movements or postures which will be introduced by both their Chinese and English name and reviewed.
Students will walk away empowered with the theory and skill set needed to begin a powerful and traditional personal practice. This is an excellent foundation and entry point into all Daoist Arts. It is the groundwork for all QiGong Arts and Taichi Quan. It will promote and cultivate wellness and harmony in the mind, body, and spirit and there is no limit to how deep one can go with just this daily practice alone.
The all-inclusive cost of this weekend, which includes snacks and lunch both days, and a CD for you to take home to help sustain your practice, is normally $397, but for this very first workshop to be offered in Cumberland, the special one-time price of $247 is being offered.
